Initial Resettlement (Reach)

In Colorado, initial resettlement efforts are led by refugee resettlement agencies (RAs). Together, these foundational services form the ‘Reach’ program. Reach services are designed to build stability and create the foundation for a refugee’s continued integration and wellbeing. In partnership with refugees, RAs provide supportive services that lead to early self-sufficiency, employment, social adjustment, educational and economic empowerment, and healthy living. The Reach program prioritizes services to clients within their first two years, but is available to clients for up to 60 months from their initial date of ORR eligibility.

Initial resettlement services vary depending on how a refugee arrives, but may include case management, health and mental health, employment services, English language acquisition (ELA), financial support, and more.

Connect to a Resettlement Agency

Refugees are typically already connected to a resettlement agency (RA). However, some eligible individuals may need to be connected to a RA for services. Each RA has established walk-in hours in which they can conduct an intake with walk-in clients. Explore agency schedules and addresses.
